Familiar start up story. Over 10 years ago I left my corporate life and bought a business.

I was driven to enter the skin industry because I was frustrated with how it was marketed and wanted to craft my own journey. Shortly after entering, the concept of skin health started to emerge, and this was everything. I immersed myself in all things nutrition, gut health, and lifestyle, and evolved the salon into a skin health destination. The journey was incredible.

Here’s where it gets good. With the success of my salon, it had been my goal to relocate to a centralised location, and fitout a beautiful new clinic along with a rebrand. Whilst this was all in motion, one of the skincare companies I was partnering with told me they couldn’t supply me at my new location as they had an exclusivity agreement in place with another salon. After years of embedding this brand into my business, specifically a hero product that they supplied, and knowing there were no strong alternatives available - I was in a panic. I cried. And then I got my sh*t together. I thought f*** it. I’ll make my own. And I’ll do it better.

So as it turns out, I was studying cosmetic chemistry (just to increase my skincare knowledge) and had connected with many in the industry. It also turns out that the formulation I launched with wasn’t better. It did what it needed to, but it needed tweaking. And since I’m telling all, our processes weren’t great either. Lets just say myself and my team went on a steep learning curve. We’ve since gone through several iterations of our formulation, and I am so proud of the product that you use today.
